SCO/ECO

SCO/ECO

SCO (Supplemental Coverage Option) and ECO (Enhanced Coverage Option) are both U.S. crop insurance endorsements that provide area-based coverage for a portion of an underlying policy's deductible. The key difference is their coverage level: SCO covers the deductible from 86% up to 100%, while ECO provides additional coverage from 86% up to either 90% or 95% of the expected value. This means ECO offers a higher level of protection than SCO, and both are triggered by an area-wide loss, not an individual farm's loss.
